The Prospect Trust has announced that funding has been confirmed to enable the construction of a brand new full-Sized 3G all-weather football pitch at Tomlinscote School in Camberley.

The facility is due to open in Autumn 2020 and will give CPRFC players secured access to top of the range training/matchday facilities for at least the next 21 years!

This is a fantastic opportunity for CPRFC to really develop as a club, and by working with other project partners (Tomlinscote School, Camberley Town Youth and Aldershot Town FC) it is anticipated the facility will have a huge impact on grassroots football in the area.

Funding was secured from a number of sources including, The Premier League and FA Facilities Fund (delivered through the Football Foundation), London Marathon Charitable Trust, The Prospect Trust and Partner Club Contributions which, when combined will enable this £1m scheme to proceed.

Simon Jarvis, Prospect Trust Chief Executive Officer, said: ‘We are delighted at the success of our funding bid which means that we will have a brilliant resource in place by early autumn. The full-sized all-weather 3G pitch will be a very welcome addition to the improving sports facilities at the school, hugely beneficial not just to Tomlinscote students but also the wider community’.

Rob Major, Principal of Tomlinscote School said: ‘This is fantastic news! We’ve been hoping for such a resource for some time now but never been able to commit the funds needed to make it a reality. With the support of the Football Foundation, the London Marathon charity and of course The Prospect Trust, our students can now look forward to enjoying first-class facilities for many years to come.’

A spokesman for the Football Foundation said: ‘The Foundation is pleased to support this excellent bid which will result in a stunning resource for local sportsmen and women.’
